The key cannot be turned from the lock position.

The dash displayed the message to pull out the key, turn the steering wheel and restart. The steering lock could not be heard engaging or disengaging and the steering itself was not locked. The keys still locked and unlocked the vehicle, and both keys gave the same result at the ignition.
