Customer Complaint

The engine warning light was flashing on the dash following recent engine and injector related work, with associated idle and air conditioning concerns also reported.

Problem Summary

The vehicle had recently had a second hand engine and turbo fitted, with the injectors from the replacement engine carried over. After fitment, the injector codes for cylinders 1, 2 and 4 were programmed successfully, however cylinder 3 returned an incorrect injector code that needed to be re-entered. After correcting the cylinder 3 code, the engine warning light began flashing, the idle hunted between approximately 600 and 800 rpm, and the air conditioning compressor would not engage. Steering, lighting or brake inputs would temporarily raise the idle and re-engage the air conditioning compressor before the symptoms returned.
