The vehicle had a loss of power and would not rev properly. The fault occurred more commonly once the engine was hot, and the vehicle had already been through multiple repairers without a successful fix.

A full scan identified P0490 - EGR valve control circuit high. The code would clear initially, but once the engine reached operating temperature it would reset and the poor performance and no-rev condition would immediately return. The vehicle had previously had an aftermarket EGR valve fitted and the ECU replaced, however neither repair resolved the issue.
