The vehicle was lacking power.

The vehicle had a fitted replacement engine and after around 5,000 km of trouble free running it began to feel sluggish and underpowered. The transmission could not hold torque converter lockup at 100 km/h on a flat road, the vehicle took a long time to reach 100 km/h, and it constantly hunted between 3rd and 4th gear. In manual mode in 3rd, it would eventually reach 130 km/h at 4500 rpm but only after a long stretch of road. At idle and stationary the engine revved up normally.
