Following a routine logbook service in which the fuel filter and spark plugs were replaced, the vehicle developed hard cranking and rough running symptoms.

The vehicle had been presented for a logbook service during which the fuel filter was replaced with a Ryco Z899 and the spark plugs with NGK items. After the service the vehicle became difficult to crank, ran roughly with a shudder, and the new spark plugs showed heavy carbon build up.
