The ute was down on power, entered limp mode after 20 to 30 seconds of running, and only produced about 3 to 4 psi boost when revved hard.

The fault started suddenly during a trip, and the vehicle had barely been driven since. No recent related work had been carried out, but an aftermarket performance chip or tune was fitted. The main symptoms were low boost, poor power, and a service light appearing shortly after start up.
